Requirements to applying.

  • Our primary mission is to minister to individuals who desire life transformation, seek stable housing, and desire to be part of a supportive community. However, we are not a shelter and do not provide short-term or temporary stays. Our program is designed for those committed to long-term growth and transformation.

  • We are not a drug or alcohol rehabilitation center, nor are we equipped to serve in that capacity. If you are currently struggling with addiction, we encourage you to seek help through a rehabilitation program before applying.

If you are a male needing a program-based recovery program, we recommend contacting the House of Disciples in Longview.

  • All applicants are required to complete a drug and alcohol test as part of the application process. Your results will help us determine eligibility for the program.

  • Our program is structured to help you THRIVE, not survive. Applicants must be either unemployed or willing to leave their current jobs to fully engage in our process and culture.

This commitment ensures you can focus on personal growth and community involvement without external distractions.

  • A background check is required for the safety of our staff, volunteers, and Thrive members. It also helps us understand your past challenges and identify ways to best support you on your journey.

  • Having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify you from our program. However, specific standards ensure we can effectively serve you and the community.

If your history does not meet our requirements, do not lose hope—we will do our best to guide you toward other resources that may be a better fit.

  • We are committed to fostering a supportive and stable community. We recognize the importance of mental health and want to ensure that all applicants are in a place where they can fully engage and thrive within our program.

We ask applicants to disclose any history of mandatory or court-ordered mental health treatment and current medications as part of the application process. This information does not disqualify anyone from joining but helps us better understand their situation and determine whether Thrive is a good fit.

Our goal is to create an environment where every member can grow and succeed.
